Showdown Poker Gear, LLC is the first company brought to you by the Jensen brothers, Erik and Joel. As much as we would like to say that it has been easy, it certainly hasn’t happened overnight. The idea behind Showdown Poker Gear has been in the works for over two years as they’ve relentlessly and tirelessly poured over every detail (in some cases, over and over and over, well, you get the idea).

Erik, the wise one (and by that we mean older), has been playing various forms of poker for over 20 years, whether it is his least favorite game “Low Card Burn”, or his favorite game “Pot Limit Omaha” (unsuccessfully, obviously, otherwise you would already know who he is). You name an online poker site, and Erik has probably played on it. Erik’s claim to fame in the poker world was being knocked out of a tournament by Daniel Negreanu by a runner-runner beat down (dang runner-runner, hey, that’s not a bad idea for a new shirt…).

Joel is the creative/design guru that drives Showdown Poker Gear. Virtually everything that you see on this site is his creation; from the logo to the apparel design, all the way down to the web site itself. Joel is what some people may call a perfectionist, other people may call it OCD, either way, Joel takes great pride in everything he does.

It’s Erik’s love of the game of poker and Joel’s perfectionist work and their many-many-many combined hours of hard work (and very understanding families and friends) are what have made it possible for us to PROUDLY present to you: Showdown Poker Gear.
